Many organisations around Victoria, including Western Health, refer or recommend nurses and midwives to the Nurses & Midwives Health Program Victoria (NMHPV). The NMHPV provides a range of support services for nurses, midwives, and students to promote the individual’s health, wellbeing and resilience and reduce the risks to those who use nursing and midwifery services.

The NMHPV recognises the considerable pressure nurses and midwives experience and the potential impacts on nurses’ health and wellbeing. The NMHPV has appointed a team from the Department of Nursing at The University of Melbourne to evaluate the program and seek new opportunities to enrich and advance the service in protecting, supporting, and sustaining nurses and midwives.

By completing this survey, the information you provide will help us to determine:

  1. If the program is working as it is intended to work,
  2. The impacts of the program, and
  3. The opportunities for strengthening the program.

If you choose to participate, you will complete an online survey that asks questions about:

  • your knowledge of the NMHPV
  • the ways in which you may have engaged with the NMHPV
  • the experiences you may have had either in referring/recommending nurses/midwives to the NMHPV and/or in receiving referrals from the NMHPV
  • your perceptions of the effectiveness of the NMHPV, and opportunities for how it may be strengthened.

The survey will take 5 to 15 minutes to complete, and will close on 31st August, 2022.
